The new age movement is not an organized religion but an informal network of people in search of answers to spiritual questions. The search for truth may lead them to examine many divergent paths such as reincarnation of souls, out-of-body experiences, astrology, the messages of world religions, ancient and pagan religions, auras, chakras and many, many more. In spite of the great diversity in the movement, there are some beliefs that most new age adherents share:
